BRIDGING THE GAP
If you have a gap in your smile, replacing teeth is not only for aesthetics, but also for your good health. A bridge is a fixed (non-removable) appliance that provides a means to replace missing teeth. Porcelain bridges are the most popular as they resemble natural teeth. A bridge consists of two crowns that are designed to over two anchoring teeth. The bridge is attached, filling the gap created by one or more missing teeth.

Root Canal
Root canals are NOT what they use to be! Just like technology changes, so has root canal treatment. Millions of teeth are saved each year with root canal or endodontic treatment. With modern and updated techniques, Dr. Emma can perform a root canal procedure in a similar manner as a routine filling, in one or two appointments.
Inside the tooth, under the white enamel and a hard layer called the dentin, is a soft tissue called the pulp. The pulp contains bold vessels, nerves and connective tissue. When the soft tissue becomes infected, an abscess around the bone can develop.
Dr. Emma will remove the bacteria from the empty canals within your tooth, clean, shape and fill the root canals, and seal the space. You will return to Cranberry Dentistry for a follow up appointment, for a crown or other restoration on the tooth to protect and restore it to full function. After the new restoration, the tooth will continue to function like any other tooth.
Oral Surgery / Extractions
A number of conditions may require oral surgery or an extraction. We will make every attempt to treat your teeth and remedy any dental malady you may be dealing with. But if the damage to your teeth is extensive it may be necessary to extract one or more teeth to maintain your dental health.
